From secluded Farm Stay out there were several possibilities to continue to come to the South. A local bus by 5 clock in the morning, by train and bus or with a kind of tour, which is carried out especially for guests who want to go to Hué. Together with three other guests I did and so we are on our way to Hue through the DMZ (demilitarized zone) down. That was not terribly spectacular, but if you’re on the road, do you enable times. In the DMZ, you can, for example, the tunnel visit, in which the local population has for years hidden from the American bombing. Again not for the claustrophobic, but if one keeps in mind that 600 people have lived at the same time in this tunnel system, then you can because sometimes undergo bent half an hour.
Hué itself is a classic stop for most travelers, because it comes from there via overnight journey to Hanoi or in 5 hours to Hoi An. Almost everyone stops here and so we have some people again struck by Farmstay. But it was also clear that an entire day would be sufficient. The sightseeing can be limited in principle to 2-3 hours.
In the center stands the Citadel with the Forbidden City. That’s not what interests me mad, but quite nice for a walk. We have also lent us for the day a bike and drove around with it. The road was usually the goal. For two evenings Hué holds some ready to restaurants and bars. The whole tourism in Hué takes place in a small neighborhood: hotels, hostels and restaurants can be reached in a few minutes and then one always comes back to someone about the way you already know.
The next morning we went on the bus to Hoi An. More was not going on. Nevertheless, quite nice for a mandatory pit stop 🙂
